Loop Pediatrics for Well Infant, Well Child and Adolescent Checkups

Dr. Sanjay and his staff are trained in order to handle the needs of growing children at every stage of life.

To monitor the healthy development of growing children from birth through early adulthood, regular checkups are recommended.
Every two to three months, infants and toddlers should be scheduled for a visit with their doctor, while children over the age of two-years old should visit Dr. Sanjay at least once every year.

Well-Child visits test for any markers and risks of disease and provide comprehensive information pertaining to: nutrition, safety, immunization and your child’s overall development.

During the Well Child and Well Infant Exams, children are examined from head to toe in order to insure that no stone is left unturned.

Loop Pediatrics for Developmental Screening

Developmental screening is a routine, BUT VERY IMPORTANT diagnostic procedure used to identify any potential developmental delays.
Early detection is an invaluable tool in treating nearly every condition, in order to identify and end problems before they create future damage.

Developmental screenings can identify delays that can indicate autism, mental retardation and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, among others.

Screenings can be performed through simple questioning during a regular checkup to ensure that your child is progressing at a rate that is considered normal.

Developmental screenings take just a few minutes at each doctor’s visit, but can play a major role in identifying and then treating early developmental conditions.

Loop Pediatrics for ADHD/Behavioral Consultations

Children with ADHD and behavior problems can cause worry and concern among parents, who are often unsure of how to treat this situation.

Behavioral consultations allow Dr. Sanjay to observe your child’s natural activity and interactions. This may include interviews with parents, teachers and other people, in order to assess behaviors and determine corrective measures.

Consultations can be performed at any age, and are most common among school-age children.

Dr. Sanjay works with you and your child in order to develop an individualized treatment plan. He will refer you to a team of Psychiatrist/Psychologists if need be.

  • Measles, mumps, rubella

  • Diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis
  • Hepatitis A
  • HPV
  • Polio
  • Rotavirus
  • Meningococcal
  • Haemophilus Influenzae B

Loop Pediatrics provides these and other immunizations.

We are happy to answer any questions that you may have pertaining to vaccination and your child’s overall well being.

Loop Pediatrics for Travel Medicine

Pre-travel consultations with your child’s physician are a great idea.

Loop Pediatrics offers pre-travel administration of recommended vaccines and health advice for young adults and children who are planning to travel outside of the United States.

Parents will be asked to complete a questionnaire regarding travel plans that includes:

  • Analysis of your itinerary, anticipated activities, and review of your child’s previous immunizations to determine if additional vaccinations are recommended.
  • Advice on malaria prophylaxis and needed prescriptions and where to get the prescriptions filled.
  • Information and prescriptions for medications to help prevent or treat illnesses while traveling.

Our office does not routinely carry the specialized vaccines such as yellow fever and typhoid, but they can be ordered by the office, or Dr. Mehra can write a prescription for the vaccine to be purchased at a local pharmacy and transported to our office for administration.

lternatively we can refer you to a clinic that administers these vaccines.
